Sumika Agrotech handles comprehensive materials related to agriculture and the targets for our R & D work encompass a broad range of fields. To research and develop versatile products and technologies related to irrigation materials, seed treatment & pelleting, growing media, fertilizers, as well as seeds and seedlings, about 50 experts (25% of the roughly 200 employees in total) tackle their R & D assignments, including plastic processing, hydraulics, process engineering, plant physiology, powder engineering, agronomy, plant nutrition, plant genetics and breeding
What we place the utmost importance on in our R & D work is "voices from field sites" . The reason why we could grow as a top-class company in the agricultural material field can only be attributed to our attitude that experts covering a broad range of fields have scientifically analyzed the "voices from field sites" and applied the outcome to our R & D work on our products and technologies.
In the future, we will enhance our R & D work through our nationwide network, based in the Technology Development center (Niihama City, Ehime Prefecture) and three experimental stations (Hokkaido, Nagano and Kumamoto Prefectures) by cooperating with domestic and overseas research institutes and various industries, while continuing to place importance on the "voices from field sites."
