Seed Coating |
The Seed Coating Department offers materials related to sowing and raising seedlings, under the division’s concept of providing materials and technical services that contribute to the promotion of simplify and labor saving in agricultural production.
The Sumika Coated Seed, which was developed with our unique technologies, is a product where each seed with a different size and shape is coated and granulated with a natural product component into a uniform shape. Our technology for improving germination, technology for preventing and eliminating disease damage, and other technologies are intensively applied to each of the coated seeds, which contributes significantly to labor saving cultivation, such as sowing and thinning, improvement in seed quality, and crop yields. The technology has become essential for domestic vegetable production.
Furthermore, as related peripheral materials, we also develop and market technology-intensive unique materials, such as seeding machines for direct seeding (Clean Seeder ®, Super Tempal ®), seeding machines for seedling trays (Pottle ®), and growing media for raising seedlings (Sumi-Soil ®). |
